Libarary Book Review of Five Classmates'


1. Valerie, Mattson chose book “The Birth of Christianity” by Maurice Goguel. There was only one author. For this book was printed in Great Britian at the University Press Aberdeen, it was printed in London in 1953, and this is the first edition of this book.  She chose this book because she is a Christian and love to learn more about her faith and its impact in different places. She is interested in developing more knowledge about both Christianity and the church being wholly centered on the belief in the risen and glorified Jesus.  And she was interested in what this author has to say about the Christian faith and the impact its introduction to others has made.

2. Mohammed, Asiri chose book “I Our Village” it does not author in this book, but it has editor, the name of the editor is Barbara Cervone. This book distributed in National Book Network, Lanham, Maryland, and it was printed in Hong Kong, 2006. He chose this book because last week he did research for communication study class which is about African American culture; so, this book has some information and facts about African culture.

3. Adam, Block chose book “Minotaur” by Joseph Alexander Macgillivray. The book it was published in the year of 2000. The publisher of the book is Hill and Wang and this book was printed distributed in the United States. The exact city of publication is New York. He chose this book because it is about Greek mythology and a major person who is well known for acient greek architecture and excavation, Sir Arthur Evan. He was well known for recovering King Minos' palace. He took a class back in highschool about this topic and he found it very interesting. The minotaur was included and so therefore the subject topic jumped out at he.

4. Yu, Fan chose book “Chinses-Japanese War, 1937” by Julla E. Johnson. That is only one author. The H.W.WILSON Company printed the book; it was no re-printed; it was distributed in the United States. And the book printed in New York on 1938. He chose this book because he wants to stand on different way to see this history, and compare with the things that he learned before, then to get the more detailed history.  And this book published during the war, so that will more correct to show how the war started and effect.

5. Grant, Schow chose book "Acts of Recovery", the only author of the book is Jeffrey Hart provide. The book was published and ready for print. The book was printed by the University press of New England. And it was published in Hanover and London, in the year of 1989.  He chose this book because economy and how things work interest him and his political views and interests annoyed many faculty and colleagues but he was well known for his interest in history.
